UPDATE: The surgery went well and Jack did great! Thank you for praying! The surgeons were able to extubate in the O.R. with no issues. If all goes well with recovery, we'll be headed home soon with our baby boy.

------

As I write this post, Jack is in surgery to repair the hernia he's had for several months. This is a routine procedure but it requires intubation which is a concern for Jack's very fragile lungs. The docs hope to extubate him in the O.R. before he comes back to the NICU but there's a good chance his lungs won't be strong enough which would extend his time in the hosptial considerably. If all goes well, they expect he could be sent home relatively soon. Please pray to that end!

Jack is 180 days old today. He'll be six months to the day tomorrow.

Matthew 6:25-26 -"Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?"

What a journey you have traveled. Your beautiful baby is very special to all of us and much loved. When Jack goes home, people who love you will be celebrating across the globe.

I have two very good friends who are perhaps your nurses--Anna and Susanna Kitabjian. They love the Lord and so love the children under their care.

Lovingly,

Margaret

This is such a pleasant thing to read today... I'm SO happy for the success and recovery it brings me to tears. I desire nothing more than to see this through. I will keep praying and hoping for you all the more. God's will is perfect and His timing the same. I know that this will be nothing but the radiance of His glory... thank you for the update.

Jack, I hope that you love poetry as much as you love songs and hymns. I wrote this a week ago and maybe you'd be interested in listening to it. I'm praying for your lungs and I know that it's hard for your body to go through what it's going through...…

My friends and I are on our knees today and daily for precious Jack. We will hold him up in prayer 🙏. We trust our strong heavenly Father who knows his frame. For God is not lack concerning us, He is a God who hears the prayers of His chosen ones. We love you Jack!!! 🤗 Is not the Lord thy God with us, and hath HE not given us rest on everyside?!
