Praying friends, we got a call this morning that our boy is in crisis. He’s developed a perforated bowel and the concern is that it could lead to an infection he can’t fight. We were put on the phone with a surgeon who explained that this is not uncommon, but that a drain would need to be put in immediately. It‘s very risky due to his age and fragility.
He is in surgery right now and Lisa and I are awaiting word from the waiting room.

Thank you for praying! We're grateful to report that the surgery went as well as can be expected. There are a number of concerns going forward and they'll be watching him even closer over the next several days. Please continue to pray that the drain does its job and that the perforation heals on its own. Pray also that he doesn’t develop an infection or additional complications as a result of the procedure.
We received good news from the doctor this evening that a head scan revealed no bleeding on the brain; something they're very concerned about, especially after a procedure like this one.
